About Susan
As an author, Susan Brownell loves to touch people’s lives in a positive way. Susan seeks to make her writing unique and inspirational. She feels many people in the world today are overwhelmed, discouraged, and stressed. She thinks everyone can use a healthy dose of encouragement, no matter what their situation is. Besides her books, Susan has written articles for online publications and been a contributing author for five inspirational books to raise funds for charities. She also previously hosted a website dedicated to cancer caregivers. Susan has been featured in Cure Magazine and the Monroe County Herald. Her goal is to touch hearts, help change lives, and spread smiles from cover to cover. Susan also likes to give hugs–book hugs!

If you have ever struggled with the stress of caregiving, you know how draining it can be. After spending eight consecutive years helping care for her mother, father, step-mother, and step-father as they battled cancer, Susan wanted to make a difference. She wrote the award-winning “Cocoon of Love for Cancer Caregivers: Get Through the Tough Times” to help other caregivers. Each loved one with cancer forever changed her. Reading this book can change you too. You will be better prepared to do what you must do. It will inspire you to make a difference as you care for yourself and your loved one with cancer. Susan says awards are nice, but the real reason she writes is to make a difference.
Susan moved on to writing about another matter very close to her heart–faith. After going through several life-changing events of her own and talking to others about their own experiences, Susan felt nudged to write a book about people’s faith-based experiences. This resulted in her latest release, “Nudged: Moved by God.” Susan looks forward to sharing more faith-based stories. Susan also enjoys writing her blog posts and speaking to groups about her books. Susan has been on the Faith Forward Writer’s Retreat Author’s Panel speaking about her author experiences. She held a book launch and book signing on the release of her latest book, “Nudged: Moved by God.” She spoke about writing that book, as well as reading a couple of stories from her book. Susan has also spoken to the SACS (Sparta Area Cancer Support) Group about her caregiver books.
