Sparta, Wisconsin: Cocoon of Love for Cancer Caregivers: Get Through the Tough Times will be available as part of the fundraiser for Sparta Area Cancer Support (SACS). SACS provides support to local cancer patients and their families while also helping fund cancer research at the areas two largest hospitals: Gunderson-Lutheran and Mayo Healthcare Systems, both in La Crosse, Wisconsin. At a time when families
are going through so much as they watch their loved one battle a devastating disease as well as dealing with the stress and strain of financial hardships caused by cancer and the inability to work, a helping hand can be a real blessing.Every year, SACS hosts a Walk/Rally to raise funds to provide this support. It takes months of planning and many hands to make this event the success that it has become known to be. A group of hard-working and dedicated people work tirelessly in a small Wisconsin town and produce some very impressive results through this annual event.
This year, we will be at the event with our book, Cocoon of Love for Cancer Caregivers: Get Through the Tough Times. At a time when caregivers feel alone, overwhelmed, and like no one understands, this comforting and compassionate book offers many practical solutions.
We are looking forward to meeting and visiting with other caregivers. We’ll have literature on hand for those who may want to share information about the book with someone they know. We’ve been told this is a gift greatly appreciated by caregivers.
We will donate all profits from sales made at the event to SACS. By doing so, we hope to help in two ways at once. The book will help caregivers find ways to live the best life possible under the circumstances, and the money raised from the book sales will contribute to SACS funding to help local cancer patients and their families, as well as research. It’s a win-win. Now, who doesn’t like to win?
